Now, we’re on the lookout for a Part-Time Retail Assistant to join our team in our second newly opened shop in Chelston, Taunton.

What’s the job?

This is a customer-facing role in our Chelston store; you’ll be the friendly face helping customers find what they need. You’ll also be involved in keeping the shop clean, well-stocked and running smoothly.

The basics:

🕒 Hours: 3 days in total. One day from Monday to Friday, Saturday 9:00am-5:30pm and Sunday 10:00-5:00pm
📍 Location: Chelston, Taunton
💷 Salary: Minimum living wage, depends on experience
🚀 Start date: Immediate

Key responsibilities

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Greeting and assisting customers with product questions and purchases
  • Processing sales accurately and efficiently
  • Replenishing stock and keeping displays tidy
  • Assisting with returns and exchanges
  • Helping the team keep the store clean, organised, and safe
  • Supporting daily tasks and getting stuck in wherever needed

About you

Years of retail experience aren't essential, just someone friendly, reliable, and happy to be part of a small, supportive team. If you’ve worked in retail or customer service before, that’s a bonus. But if you’ve got the right attitude and a knack for getting things done, we’ll teach you the rest.

You’ll probably enjoy the role if you:

  • Are confident talking to customers and offering help
  • Have good attention to detail and like things neat and tidy
  • Don’t mind a bit of lifting and shifting (stock waits for no one)
  • Are comfortable working independently and with others
  • Have an interest in camping, caravanning or motorhomes (not essential, but it does make for better tea-break chat)
